I was raised in the home of a WWII veteran who would join me at the kitchen table with a globe, using his wartime stories to teach me geography. Through those lessons, I truly discovered geopolitics. I saw how deeply our world is interconnected and how our national actions ripple across the globe. My father taught me that democracy is precious and never guaranteed; it requires vigilant, collective effort to protect the liberties we often take for granted. Today, I aim to apply those inherited values to the challenges facing American politics.
